4.14 Houston Tethered Swimmers - PK Ka'imi Fairbairn

In the real world: The Houston Texans signed Hawaii-born Fairbairn out of UCLA as an undrafted free agent. He'll compete against veteran Nick Novak to be the Texans' placekicker. The 2015 Lou Groza Award winner and the Pac-12's all-time leading scorer made 83.3% of his field goals last year, but that was padded by going 16-for-16 from 39 yards or less. From 40 yards or longer, he was just 4-for-8 (although he did make a 60-yarder against California).
In the TUFF world: If the Texans can find a way to get Fairbairn to be more consistent from 40 yards or longer, they'll have kicker for years to come. If not, Fairbairn could still be a kickoff specialist. For now, he has two advantages: Age and leg strength.
