3.06 Tennessee Taz Devils - RB Josh Ferguson

In the real world: Todd McShay: "Ferguson has similar quickness to (UCLA's Paul) Perkins. He would be higher if he didn't dance in the backfield so much. He'll try to make air miss when there's no need. But he flashes really special agility and quickness. Plus, Ferguson is a 4.48 guy, so he's fast enough to rip off chunk yards when he gets a seam." Cause for concern: he had six fumbles in 145 carries in 2014. Still, Ferguson lands in a terrific job situation in Indy; their top two backs are 32-year-old Frank Gore and journeyman Robert Turbin. Neither is a scatback, meaning Ferguson could play a Darren Sproles- or Dion Lewis-type role in Indy.
In the TUFF world: I really like this pick precisely because of the job situation. I would have taken him if he had fallen to 3.08.
