2.15 Denver Devils - WR Braxton Miller

In the real world: Converted QB Miller turned heads with the athleticism he showed as a wide receiver. The Houston Texans took him in Round 3. Although they already have DeAndre Hopkins, Round 1 pick Will Fuller, Cecil Shorts, and Jaelen Strong (taken in Round 3 of last year's draft), there are a couple things that make Miller's long-term job situation more appealing:
  • Shorts, however, becomes a free agent next year (and he may even be cut for salary cap reasons this year).
  • Strong had conditioning issues as a rookie and was arrested for marijuana possession in February.
In the TUFF world: At this point, I wondered how anyone can be having a better draft than Denver has had. They moved up to get WR Laquon Treadwell without giving up a future first-rounder, put themselves in the perfect position to get QB Carson Wentz, selected the best tight end available in the draft in Hunter Henry, and then there's this awesome value. Miller could be the #3 wideout in Houston as soon as next year, especially if Shorts leaves and Strong turns out to be a bust. Heck, if Will Fuller doesn't cure his dropsies, a hard-working Miller could be #2 to Hopkins.
