3.15 Green Bay Ground Hogs - QB Cardale Jones

In the real world: Jones went from third-string QB to hero for Ohio State late in 2014, leading them to the national title in the first-ever College Football Playoff. He has some work to do regarding footwork (he never took a snap under center and thus needs to work on three- and five-step drops) and accuracy. However, he's got great size and a cannon for an arm, which gives him the same upside as JaMarcus Russell, without any of Russell's downside. The Bills will not pick up E.J. Manuel's fifth year option, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported. There are conflicting reports about what will happen with Tyrod Taylor, who is also set to become a free agent. NFL.com says extending Taylor's contract is on hiatus, while Buffalo's GM has said that the Bills want to extend him.
In the TUFF world: Green Bay seemed like they were seriously screwed when the Philadelphia Eagles drafted Carson Wentz, but this is an ingenious pick. Why? Because after the draft, Green Bay and Denver (the team that drafted Wentz) could theoretically talk turkey about a trade in which one team would have the Buffalo Bills' quarterbacks, and the other team would have the Philadelphia Eagles' quarterbacks, thus solidifying QB depth for both teams.
