2.14 Pittsburgh BIG PAPAS - RB DeAndre Washington

In the real world: The Raiders, who have Latavius Murray, Roy Helu and Taiwan Jones, wanted to bring in a back to compete with Murray for carries, but ultimately did not take one until picking Washington in Round 5. He's small but strong and tough.  It's hard to read into his college stats because he played at Texas Tech (and therefore got the bulk of his carries against soft Big 12 defenses--you didn't think I'd go through a Draft Wrapup without mentioning the Big 12, did you?).
In the TUFF world: I seriously considered Washington at 2.08 before deciding on Keith Marshall.  This pick is good at this point--neither a steal nor a reach--and Pittsburgh did well to take him here because, in addition to Chris Johnson and Darren McFadden getting up in age--both are about to enter their ninth NFL season--there are plenty of ifs and maybes (like "What if Karlos Williams and Mike Gillislee remain stuck behind LeSean McCoy?" or "Maybe T.J. Yeldon will never be a lead back in the NFL").
