3.08 Detroit Vipers - WR Charone Peake

In the real world: Peake was a highly sought-after recruit coming out of high school, but didn't get to produce much while playing behind Sammy Watkins, Martavis Bryant and DeAndre Hopkins at Clemson. Hands, ball skills, durability (a torn ACL caused him to miss 2013; complications from that injury caused him to miss most of 2014 as well) are why Scouts, Inc. initially graded him a 37, but Sigmund Bloom thinks highly of him and NFL.com graded him 5.8. He's got a nice size-speed combo (6'3" with a 4.45 40) to go with NFL-caliber build and physicality, and that adds up to a good deal of upside. Now with the New York Jets, Peake already has a fair shot at the #3 wide receiver job (Devin Smith is still recovering from a torn ACL).
In the TUFF world: The upside and the grades from Bloom and NFL.com were reasons I took Peake even though he fell all the way to Round 7. Reason #3: It so happens I have Smith (my second-round pick last year).
