4.01 Detroit Vipers - WR Chris Moore

In the real world: Selected by the Ravens in Round 4, Moore will enter the 2016 season behind Steve Smith, Breshad Perriman, Mike Wallace and Kamar Aiken. But Perriman has a history of knee injuries, Smith is set to retire after this season—he originally planned to go out after 2015—and Aiken will become a free agent next year. The knocks on Moore are that all he did was run straight-line routes and catch deep passes (his yards per reception average was a crazy 21.8) and that he had too many drops (5.6% in 2015). Also, whether he can handle the rest of the "route tree" is a question mark; he started to show he could during Senior Bowl week, but he still has a ways to go on that front.
In the TUFF world: However much I need depth at running back, I find it so hard to shy away from a solid value pick like this. Why do I call it a solid value? He was the 24th offensive skill player to be drafted in the NFL Draft, and here he is at the 49th overall pick in the TUFF Draft. Also, Scouts, Inc. (ESPN's in-house player evaluation service) graded him even higher than Sterling Shepard. I seriously considered Moore way back at 3.08, so given the trade I made with Dallas involving the 3.09, it's like I got the 2017 3rd-rounder for free.
